There are many reasons why you may find counselling helpful. You may be struggling with emotions, finding it hard to cope or experiencing relationship challenges. Sometimes support from family and friends is not enough and if at any time you feel that you need to speak with someone outside of your circle of family & friends, we will do our best to arrange this for you.
For parents who have lost their baby, we have volunteers who have undertaken a Bereavement course and who understand the processes and requirements of parents during their grieving. If this is still not helping or there are any concerns about your welfare, we can put you in touch with a professional counsellor or provide advice on who you should contact with regards to receiving NHS counselling.
We can also help if you have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which is not uncommon following a CDH diagnosis, or a stressful event associated with ongoing challenges.
Our Counselling 4 CDH Scheme can help you find access to a local professional counselling service either over the telephone, face to face or virtually.
Please note that we cannot consider any applications that are not accompanied by a proof of CDH diagnosis
