Niamh was diagnosed at the 20 week scan with a left sided hole and a virtually non-existent left lung. She was induced at 39 weeks at Leeds Infirmary and thankfully quickly stabilised. There were a few setbacks in the first few days, infections, collapsed lungs and aborted repairs but she was eventually repaired after 7 days. Five weeks later she allowed home and is now fast approaching her 6th birthday. One of her names is Hope as for 20 weeks between scan and birth that is pretty much all we had!
