If you are planning to organise a fundraiser in aid of CDH UK and you would like to use some of our fundraising aids such as balloons, information sheets or would like to use our logo to promote your event, then you will need to download a fundraising form (see bottom of this page) and preferably email it back to us, or alternatively contact us for a fundraising application form by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org . The information that you provide will help us to decide of what type of event you are planning and what you would like to use in terms of promoting the fundraiser and what involvement CDH UK would have.
Fundraising falls into two main categories; ‘in aid of CDH UK’ or ‘on behalf of CDH UK’. Most of the fundraisers that are carried out are ‘in aid of’ and once you have told us what you are planning, we can promote it on our website and Facebook page and advise you on making the event a success and supply you with items to help with the event, but ultimately it will be your own event and you will be responsible for it.
If you are planning on organising a large scale fundraiser or want to use our logo on media other than our own, for example, you want to design and create posters and newspaper advertisements, or use our logo for various media then this becomes an ‘on behalf of’ event and you will effectively be representing CDH UK. This type of fundraiser requires lots of pre-planning and close liaison with our Charity to ensure that all legal aspects of the event are covered such as applications and permissions to relevant bodies and that insurances are in place. An example of this is a formal Charity Dinner or a Fun Run. Please contact us as early as possible for the relevant forms if you are hoping to plan an ‘on behalf of’ event. Further information can be obtained by contacting CDH UK or you can find useful information on the Institute of Fundraising website.
There are lots of ways to fundraise and to help you decide what to do, here are a few ideas for easy fundraisers:
- Hosting a Birthday Party asking guests for donations instead of gifts
- Baking cakes or making craft items etc. to sell
- Holding a raffle
- Taking part in a fun run or other sponsored event
- Selling our badges in aid of CDH UK
If you have an idea, why not contact us by emailing email@example.com. If you would like to do something really different and daring why not Skydive for CDH UK! See our Take part in an event section for further details and how to apply.
In accordance with our fundraising policy there is a simple procedure required for activities or events that require the use of our logo or that requires our involvement or the use of our fundraising tools.
Download our fundraising form. Please note that we would prefer you to email your completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org because it is a much quicker process than posting it to us.
